2-YEAR DIPLOMA MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY A Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) is a healthcare professional who performs chemical, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriological diagnostic analyses on body fluids. The technologist also performs equipment validations, calibrations, quality controls or run-by-run assessment, statistical control of observed data, and recording normal operations.
Our DMLT program lays special emphasis on:
A graduate for Medical Laboratory degree programs will attend classroom courses for two years and clinical rotations are completed in their final year of study. This combination is called a 1+1 program. In clinical rotations, the student experiences hands-on learning in each discipline of the laboratory and, under supervision, performs diagnostic testing in a functioning laboratory. Although not compensated, a student in the clinical phase of training usually works 2 Year, experiencing work as a full-time employee. the MLS are promoted to become specialists, qualified by unique graduate education and / or additional training to perform more complex analyses than usual within a specific field.
After having successfully completed the second year examination the student will be qualified to commence the Compulsory rotatory Internship for one year at Fortis hospital. The completion of internship is mandatory to enable a student to obtain the degree of Diploma of Medical Laboratory Technology.
Qualification: Candidates with a minimum qualification, 10+2 Science with PCB (Physics,Chemistry,Biology) or any equivalent can apply for the course. Age: There is no age restriction on the course offered.
